Our clients had searched for their dream home for many years, finally finding this airy penthouse with spectacular views over London, and with two large, secluded roof terraces. Having not been refurbished for over 20 years, the property was in need of complete modernisation. Our brief was to create an uncluttered modern home with simple lines and good quality finishes.
By reconfiguring the entrance stairwell and adding a roof light right above it, we brought daylight into the heart of the flat, gaining enough space to enlarge the master suite to include a dressing room. The remainder of the apartment required complete rebuilding and renovation as the existing fabric was simply too poor to meet with the demands and standards of modern life. The outcome is a beautiful, contemporary home spread over two floors, with a top floor for family life and entertaining and 5 comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms beneath.
